Realistic

Flying in a helicopter is unique! Only helicopters can hover completely still in the air. The view from a helicopter is therefore fantastic. However, they are very complex machines. During this simulator flight lesson, you will experience what it is like to fly in a helicopter.

The large screen around you, no less than 2.5 metres high, and the completely reconstructed cockpit make you feel like a real helicopter pilot for a day. All buttons and instruments are inside and are in 1:1 scale. Not only that, everything works. This simulator features a moving platform. This makes you feel the turbulence and you almost forget you are in a simulator. That makes flying on this simulator a fantastic experience you won't soon forget!

Theory

We start with a short briefing on the basics of helicopter flying. In this briefing, the instructor answers the most important questions: what are all the buttons, lights and other instruments for? Of course, you can also ask all your questions yourself. If you bring someone along with you, they can of course attend the introduction. Then you both know what you are going to experience 'in the air'. You don't have to pay extra for this. This briefing takes about 20 minutes.

Practice

Next, you'll step into the simulator. After starting the helicopter, the instructor will teach you the basics of helicopter flying in 20 minutes per person. After this instruction, you continue flying alone or with your co-pilot in the simulator. An instructor is always present to help you. You will take off from Stewart in Canada or Rotterdam The Hague Airport. Depending on the time chosen, several routes are possible. From now on, you'll know what it's like in the cockpit.

VR glasses

Would you like to fly extra long in the simulator? You can! If you order the 'extra time' option, you can fly an extra 60 minutes in the simulator after the lesson. During this extra time, you can choose to fly with Varjo Aero VR glasses over Rotterdam or Stewart in Canada.
