How far ahead should I make a reservation?

Usually you can go to your flying lesson within a week. It can take a bit longer for the weekends. Book at least two days in advance due to the planning of the flying schools. Some products are seasonal, such as gliding. In addition, gliding has limited availability. So book this well in advance.

Can I postpone or cancel the flying lesson?

Yes, free of charge up to 24 hours before the flying lesson. After that, costs may be charged, for example because the flying school can not book another students for that period, or costs have already been made.

Can I change the voucher after ordering?

Yes this is possible! For example, you can extend the flying lesson or even choose something completely different. Ideal if you find another flying lesson more enjoyable. No costs are charged for this, you only have to pay the difference in price. The voucher is not redeemable for money so you will not get a refund when you choose a cheaper product. You can easily arrange it yourself, enter your vouchernumber at 'make reservation' and choose 'change voucher'.

How far can I fly in 20 minutes, half an hour or an hour?

With every experience you will find a map of the Netherlands. Click on the location to see how far you can fly. For Lelystad, for example, you can fly around the Dolfinarium in Harderwijk in 20 minutes. In 30 minutes you will fly approximately to Nijkerk or the Veluwe and back. And in an hour to Amersfoort, Barneveld, het Gooi, Zwolle, Enkhuizen or Hoorn.

Can there be passengers alongside the student?

Check the flying lesson of your choice under Specifications. Here you can find how many people the flying lesson is for. For some flying lessons there is a small extra price for this. You never fly with strangers.

How do I use a discount code?

To use a discount code you need to activate it first. After that, you can complete your order: Activate discount code.

What time is the flying lesson?

When composing your flying lesson you can specify a reservation request for a day and part of a day. You will receive a confirmation by mail with more information and the exact time.

What is the minimum age of the student?

You can find this under the heading 'specifications' of the flying lesson of your choosing. This is the minimum age for following one lesson. A different (legal) minimum ages apply to obtaining your pilots license. Solo flying during your training is allowed from the age of 16, exams can be taken from 17 years.

Do I need to make an appointment directly when ordering?

You can make an appointment, but this does not have to be done right away. After ordering you will receive a voucher with which you can easily make an appointment via the website.

Will my flying lesson take place?

Some flying lessons depend on weather conditions or other external factors. After booking you have received a confirmation email. It explains how to get more information about the taking place of the flying lesson. The same e-mail also contains the phone number and e-mail address of the flying school. For questions about the reservation you can contact them directly. Unfortunately we can not answer questions about schedules.

I am slightly above the maximum weight or height, is that allowed?

In the Specifications section of the flying lesson of your choice, you will find the maximum weight and the maximum length. With regard to length, there is a few centimeters of margin. Keep in mind that you may not be very comfortable on the plane. The maximum weight is related to safety and should not be exceeded.

Can my partner or friend join the theory lesson?

Of course they can! There are no additional costs for that.

How long is the voucher valid?

All vouchers are valid until 1 year after issue. This period of validity can be extended as long as the voucher is still valid. There are costs involved. You can easily arrange an extension yourself. Enter your voucher number at www.vliegles.nl/en/reserveren and choose 'change voucher'.

I made a reservation, but have not heard anything yet

When you made a reservation you received an email with the contact details of the flying school. The planner will contact you within 2 working days to confirm the reservation. For questions about your reservation you can contact the flying school. Vliegles.nl unfortunately can not help with questions about planning.
You can request the information from the flying school via 'Make an appointment' on the basis of your voucher number. Please do not come to the flying school before your reservation is confirmed.

What does it cost to get a pilot's license?

This varies per person. How many lessons you need depends, among other things, on your insight. How often you fly also matters. Depending on the type of license you need a legal minimum of 30 (LAPL) or 45 hours (PPL). For a PPL, the investment is around € 15,000 and a year of lessons.

How does ordering work exactly?

I want to fly today, tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. Is that possible?

Because the planning for the coming days has already been made, you cannot reserve this via the normal route. Sometimes there are Last Minutes available. You can reserve those up to 2 hours in advance.

When will I receive the theory book by post?

When you have selected this when ordering, we will send the gift voucher to you by mail together with our theory booklet. We send the package no later than the next working day. Then you have something nice to give as a gift or to get in the mood yourself.

Is the flying lesson available on a specific date?

You can see in the calendar under the flying lesson when there is availability. You can then book directly. You can see the availability of the color:
Red means that the day is no longer available.
Yellow means that the day is almost full.
Green means that there is still sufficient availability in the planning.
Gray means that the day is on request. You can make a reservation for this day. The flying schools are doing their utmost to schedule you for that day.

Can I also pay at the flying schools?

Unfortunately, that is not possible. The flying schools only schedule appointments when prepaid. This is done because of 'no shows'.

Can I book a experience for a group?

Of course you are also very welcome with your friends, family or colleagues! Because there is always some custom work involved, you can request a quotation.

Can anyone join the flying lessons?

Under the flying lesson of your choice you will find under Remarks whether certain requirements are set for your physical condition. We do not recommend flying for people who don't have the fhysical state to fly in a large aircraft, or when your condition does not allow you to drive a car. Also if you are heavily pregnant, participation is not recommended. If you suffer from motion sickness or a weak stomach, tell it in advance so that it can be taken into account.

Can I also receive the gift voucher by post?

Certainly! You can choose this when ordering. Then you will receive the gift voucher along with our theory booklet by post. We send the package no later than the next working day. So you have something nice to give as a gift or to get in the mood for your flying lesson yourself. If you order before 4.00 pm on weekdays, it will be shipped the same day. The package is sent in a white envelope without a logo so that it can not be recognized on the outside. The booklet is only available in Dutch.

Can the flying lesson also be given in English?

No problem! All colleagues of the flying schools speak English.

When and how do I receive the voucher?

After ordering you will receive a link with which you can download the voucher directly as a PDF file. When you choose to pay on the basis of an invoice, you will receive the voucher after processing your payment. This takes about 2 business days.

I have a question about a reservation

When you made the reservation you received an email with the contact details of the flying school: both the telephone number and the mail address. Do not call or mail with Vliegles.nl, we can not help you with questions about the planning.
If you have lost the confirmation email, you can request the information about the flying school via 'Create an appointment' based on your cadeauboncode. Please do not come to the flying school before you have received a confirmation.

Can the voucher be renewed?

voucher can be renewed if they have not expired. Click on "Make reservation" , enter the voucher number and click on "Change voucher". The voucher can not be renewed after the expiry date.
