The Robinson R44 is a light helicopter with four seats. It has been produced by Robinson Helicopter Company since 1992. The R44 is based on the Robinson R22, a two-seat helicopter. The R44 has hydraulically assisted flight control.
It first flew in 1990 and received its US certification in December 1992. Since 1999, the R44 has been the best-selling helicopter for General Aviation. It is also one of the most produced aircraft with almost 6000 deliveries from 2001 to 2020.
