Paramotor flying is perhaps the simplest way of motorised flight. Paramotor flying can be done with an engine on the pilot's back or with a three- or four-wheeled undercarriage, a trike. In this variant, you fly together the pilot in the trike, with a propeller on the back.

Location

Starts are made in Lommel, Maaseik or Peer in Belgium, this is in consultation with the pilot. It is great fun to make a beautiful flight over Flemish Limburg.

Paramotor flying

Flying a paramotor is very different from flying in a plane. The seat with the motor, is also called the trike. Attached to this trike is a large screen. This allows you to float through the air. You can go up to 450 metres into the air, which gives you a fantastic view and lets you enjoy the surroundings! The paramotor is controlled by pulling the struts.

This form of flying is often compared to motorbike riding. You are in the open air, you feel the wind and you hear the sounds on the ground. All this gives a great sense of freedom.

It's time

You always start the flight with a short explanation and safety briefing. The instructor enthusiastically talks about his passion and explains the basics of paramotor flying. The instructor answers all your questions, telling you how the paramotor stays in the air and how to steer, for example. This part takes about 10 minutes, no matter how long you are going to fly.

When you have checked with the pilot that the paramotor is ready to go, it's time to go. You take off from a grass runway, which adds to the feeling of freedom. You go faster and faster over the grass until you are suddenly loose. You will be surprised how fast the paramotor climbs, this is due to its low weight combined with the quite powerful motor. Once in the air, you also get to steer yourself.

Because the paramotor flies relatively slowly and low, you have fantastic views. You can fly over natural areas or maybe even your own home.
