Flying a gyrocopter

Although flying a gyrocopter looks like a cross between an airplane and helicopter, flying a gyrocopter is very different in feel. In a gyrocopter, the rotor is driven by the airflow instead of the engine. This is called autorotation. This creates lifting power. The forward motion is caused by the propeller.

By changing the angle of the entire rotor and shaft, the aircraft can rise, descend and steer.

With the gyrocopter, the rotor becomes almost invisible while flying. As a result, you have a wonderful view. All this gives a great feeling of freedom.

The time has come

You always start the flight with a short explanation and safety briefing. He enthusiastically talks about his passion and explains the basics of gyrocopter flying at the trike. The pilot answers all your questions, he explains how the gyrocopter stays in the air and how it all works with the controls. This part takes about 20 minutes, no matter how long you are going to fly.

Once you have checked with the pilot that the gyrocopter is ready to go, it's time to go.

Because the gyrocopter flies relatively slowly and low you will have a fantastic view. Depending on the chosen time you can fly over natural areas or maybe even over your own home. During this flight you do not fly yourself. In the air you can look outside and enjoy the view. Or make photos and a video.

You choose how long you want to fly. The minimum is 30 minutes, but the longer the better!
